Category: Zone BBS Q&A
I have sent several emails about this to the site without response and so I shall ask here! Why haven't you recognized my premium membership? Three days before it was due on the fourth of September, I paid it through Paypal on Tuesday, Sept. 1. I am still listed as a standard member even though Paypal confirms the payment and receipt thereof by you people. What's going on here?! LaWanda
Ya see, it aint worth it. Paying aint worth it cuz they want money all the time. I have no idea who gave me a premium.
Reader, posting on this board isn't going to do much good. Email support@zonebbs.com about it. Sia Fan, (sorry, I forget your first name), I respectfully disagree with at least part of your post. Whether paying is worth it or not is a personal opinion. But I disagree about them wanting money all the time. Once a year isn't all the time, and there's absolutely no pressure to pay for a premium membership.
I find the ability to be able to remain invisible, thus avoiding all the drama and whining on quicknotes, worth the premium price. The other features are just gravy.
Reader, I agree with Sister Dawn. You'll need to click on the support link and perhaps that will get a response, but there is no guarantee since I have used that link in the past and not always gotten an answer. But if you do it every couple of days, perhaps one of the admins will wake up and pay attention.
I like the features, don't get me wrong. But, man, I wish I could delete that post. Oops, I wasn't thinking! But, paying every year is just... I don't got the money.
I'd email every day. The squeaky wheel...
Being that you didn't pay for yours Sia the money didn't matter. Smile.
I think most people that buy them enjoy the features, and some support the site.
It cost something to allow you to post, chat, play games, and such, so 25 bucks a year isn't much at all.
In your case, I understand you wouldn't have the means to pay, nor a credit card, or Pay Pal account, but someone did, and so made you queen for a year. Lol
To the poster, when you purchased your membership, you received an email with instructions on contacting if things weren't correct.
Review the email.
If you used PayPal to pay, or a credit card, you'll find there's a telephone number you can call about it.
Review your records, and I'm sure all will be resolved.
I just sent word to the admins.
You know the admins would take for ever to respond. :d
Not on this issue.
Banks, PayPal, or other money institutions back up internet payments.
They know how to contact them.
In this case, Wayne's right. Money talks. And, really, it's not a bad deal.
I love my premiums because, I've learned a lot about how to spell some words, that I couldn't spell for ages. And my typing skills? Improved beyond my expectations. Thank you, ZONEBBS!
Blessings,
Isn't It Obvious?
How in the world did being premium help with spelling?
Back to the original topic, not only should the admins take care of this quickly, they should extend Reader's premium membership by a few weeks since she said she originally tried to update her membership a few weeks ago.
It is good business practices. I've always felt they were reasonable.
Getting in touch with the admins can be tricky. But I've always found that once you finally are able to, they make whatever it is right quickly.
Okay. I reviewed this topic.
I'll post some information.
This really shouldn't be all that difficult to get taken care of.
I'll return.
I'm thinking about becoming premium in a couple weeks...I hope I don't run
into this issue.
